Holiday Donation to Svratište Drop-In Shelter in New Belgrade

On the 17th of December, several members of the Charity Committee and the board dropped off donations to Svratiste Drop-In Shelter, which serves many Belgrade children who have limited housing and who are in need of basic services.

The donations consisted of toys (brand new and pre-loved), books, and some snacks, all which had been collected from IWC members at our December Coffee Morning at Crowne Plaza. The club also used 220€ from our Charity account to buy socks and underwear (for children ages 5-15) for the Svratiste Shelter. This drop-in shelter had a couple of requirements for the needs of the children who come to their center: fresh new underwear and brand new toys to give to the children at New Year. We are happy that we could contribute and make some children happy.

While there, the ladies representing IWC chatted with some of the children and the caretakers. They were touched by our interest to learn more about them and the center.
