Voting for new club statutes
The Executive Board is suggesting changes to the currently registered Statue which was issed in 2017. Some of the main changes are outlined below:
- Formerly, our Association's Board was conformed of nine members. As there are now five active members this change must be legally registered within our legislation.
- Another significant change is the implementation of new media and technologies, mainly the usage of new channels to maintain communication among members and the administration.
- We propose to implement a new article referring to the Transparency of the Club, it's related results and the work it does throughout the year. This also refers to charity events organised by our members.
Once the Assembly approves the changes proposed by the Executive Board, we will translate the document with a professional court registered translator. The paperwork will then be sibmitted to pursue the registration of our club's Statute.
Please take time to read the attached Statute document before the General Assembly
On the left is the version of the statute corresponding to 2017, registered in APR. On the right is the new version we want to deploy and register.
Marked in red are the changes that we want to apply
Strikethroughs are the parts we considered no longer necessary for the Club's current function
Voting for a new president
As you may know, we will be voting at the GA meeting for a new president. We will also be voting to continue with the current vice president, secretary, and representative on the board.
We are pleased to present our candidate for the role of president for IWC.
Barbora Kuchtová comes from Prague. She is married to a Czech career diplomat and is mother to two children ages 17 & 14. Following her diplomat husband, she lived in Rome and Zagreb. In addition to her native language, she speaks English, Italian, Serbian and partially Spanish.
She graduated in Economics and Business management at the University in Czech Republic. She was working as an Italian tutor, a financial and project manager for obtaining sources from European funds and later as a Senior Manager in Certification Body in Prague.
In her free time, she loves doing different sports. Skiing, Tennis, Pilates, Volleyball. Her hobby is also photography and more recently the genealogy of her own ancestors.
This is already her fifth year in Belgrade. She spent three years coordinating the BASP association and now believes that her experience will help her benefit the IWC as well.
Voting for a new treasurer
Unfortunately, no one has yet agreed to take over Verena's position. So, if any of you are keen to join the IWC board and take on this important role, please get in touch by emailing info@iwc.rs.
Verena will explain everything to her successor in the best possible way and prepare her well for the task of treasurer.
Voting for registration in an international network
We would like to integrate the IWC into a worldwide network with other international women's clubs. The Open Door Network has been in existence since 1980, with the aim of "opening doors" to international women's clubs around the world and promoting friendship and understanding between women of different nationalities through contacts and communication between clubs. There are now over 80 International Women's associations in 40 countries opening their doors to each other promoting international understanding and good will. Registration in this network benefits not only the club itself, but also its members. For example, it is possible to attend events of a "sister club" if one is in a city with an international women's club that is also registered.
Please read the attached Minutes from last year's General Assembly
Not only is the General Assembly our official statutory meeting for IWC members it is also a great networking opportunity and a chance for us to present IWC’s achievements and plans for the future. We look forward to seeing you there!
