General Assembly 2023: Results
A big thank you to the IWC members who attended the 2023 General Assembly (GA) held on May 19th. 44 members attended plus 32 proxies and the meeting was highly successful. We had a quorum for voting (50% membership attendance required) and we have elected a new president: Barbora Kuchtova.
For the members who could not attend, attached to this newsletter you will find the meeting minutes as well as the presentation.

Our last coffee morning before the summer break will be held at Kuca Kralja Petra, who have generously offered to host us. Come and enjoy each other's company at the must-see destination on Belgrade's cultural map, with its diverse content and attractive position on the slopes of the old Topčider vineyards, surrounded by a beautiful garden with botanical monuments such as the Magnolia and Gingko trees.
This event will include a "Potluck Brunch" where IWC Members are invited to share dishes from their countries. Coffee, soft drinks, cutlery, plates and cups will be provided by the Board.

ACIBADEM - BEL MEDIC Health Talk

Our next health talk will be with gynecologist Dr. Nikola Matavulj who will talk about the importance of the pelvic floor and give us an overview of pelvic floor disorders. A variety of different pathological and/or physiological conditions can cause significant cumulative damage leading to specific disorders. While these conditions are not life threatening, they can be the cause of a lower quality of life. We will also talk about current treatments and prevention.
Fresh healthy drinks and snacks are served afterwards. You will also have an opportunity to speak with the doctor in person.

Are you looking forward to escaping Belgrade for one day? On Tuesday, June 6th the Holistic approach group is organising a "holistic day off" at a house (Casa di Lavanda) in Slankamen with a wonderful view of the Danube.
This is what you can expect:

- Awake your energy and connect to your body through dancing
- Release your stress through a drumm therapy
- Free your voice with sound and get rid of unnecessary programs that hold you back in your live

The walking group will walk through Belgrade's underground sites, revealing many secrets and discovering Belgrade’s rich history and heritage. Walking in the underground of Belgrade is one of the best and most interesting ways to get to know the secrets of this city and its unusual, underground localities, each with a special charm.
On this walk, a professional will guide us through Kalemegdan to a Roman well whose legends will not leave you indifferent, then through the narrow corridors of the military bunker, which reveals numerous secrets and political games between the Great Powers after the Second World War. Afterwards, the route continues to a large gunpowder warehouse, the famous Barutane with a unique archaeological collection that houses sarcophagi, tombstones and altars from the territory of Belgrade and all of Serbia.

Walking Group:

Village Rajski Konaci invites ladies from IWC for a day out and cooking experience with their master chef Nenad Gladic / Lepi Brka (Serbian Jamie Oliver). The walk will take us around the ethno village, breathing in fresh air and experiencing nature at it's finest, as well as the friendliness of the local people. We will have the chance to meet some local artisan and purchase their products.
Here is the agenda for this walk:
- 09:00 - departure from Belgrade. Bus pick up is at Sava Centre (next to Crowne Plaza). The bus ride is about 1h 30 minutes. Upon arrival, we walk to see the ethno village
- 11:30 - coffee and refreshment
- 12:00 - masterclass with chef Nenad Gladic
- 13:00 - lunch
- 14:00 - presentations of local artisan and products.
- 15:00 - departure back to Belgrade

Summer Make-up Workshop with Cecilia Gonzalez

Her personal style developed along these years can be described as “fresh and natural”, because Cecilia believes make-up should enhance one’s natural beauty without changing one’s identity.
In this workshop, Cecilia will show you how to apply a beautiful and light summer makeup in simple steps so that we can enjoy the beautiful summer days with great makeup.
You will work with your own makeup and tools with which you are already familiar so do not forget to bring the following items:
- Make-up you usually wear, sponges and brushes (if you use them), eye make-up remover as well as cotton pads and swabs, skin cream you usually use and a small mirror.
