Psycho-social support for People with Intellectual and Mental Disabilities (PIMD) - 369.000rsd

Creative Educational Centre KEC is a non-governmental non-profit organization, established in 2002. All of our programs attempt to create partnerships with the immediate and wider community in order to help people with intellectual and mental disabilities (PIMD) realize their human rights, own potential, talents and strengths. KEC has been developing in several directions: KEC for example offers a rich array of activities for PIMD in their daily centre, they created an innovative model for work engagement and employment for PIMD and KEC has been actively involved in process of reviewing and revising many laws including those concerning social service support.

During the Covid 19 pandemic PIMD suffered from loneliness arising from social isolation. Also, they often lost the hope for a better future. The quality of life of PIMD and their families deteriorated.

To improve the quality of PIMD, IWC is supporting KEC with funds for socialization, communication and psychological workshops, Creative workshops as well as educational and social skills workshops.

The main beneficiaries of the proposed project are 20 people with intellectual and mental disabilities (PIMD).
