Return of health and strength after Covid-19 - 450.000 rsd 

Caritas Aleksinac started working in 2003 with the aim of improving the efficiency of Caritas in the area of the municipality of Aleksinac and thereby partially alleviating the numerous and major problems of the population of this poor municipality. The Caritas building was built for social and educational activities. The two main goals of Caritas Aleksinac are helping young people in education and helping individuals and families who are in social need.

The general goal of the project, supported by IWC is to improve the hygiene and health status as a result of the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic among the Roma population in Prćilovica and Aleksinački Rudnik, as well as among elderly people who are in social need.

Food and hygienic packages are going to be purchased from IWC funds and delivered to those people who are mostly in need in this rural area.

The second part of the project includes education of users on maintaining personal hygiene and the hygiene of the space in which they live. Increasing knowledge about infectious diseases, especially Covid-19, and the risks associated with inadequate hygiene habits should contribute to primary prevention, i.e. preventing the occurrence of diseases in general.
