Walking Group - Thursday October 28th

The widespread grey fog on the morning of Thursday October 28th did not deter the ever-optimistic IWC Walking Group and by 10am, the sky was blue and the sun shone at the Aleksandar Club Ski Slope meeting point. October 2021.

On October 21st, we met at the Brasilian residence, Monique served coffee and some amazing sweets. Then we began our walk through the centre of Belgrade towards Kalemegdan. We enjoyed the river views as we desended down to Beton Hala restaurants and made our way to Djokovic tennis Centre, where the dogs had a swim in the river. A sunny clear day ,perfect for an easy 3 hour 6km long stroll. We reached the Bajloni markets about 13 h were we parted.

Walking group - There is no bad weather, only bad clothes

Last Thursday 7th of October the Walking Group walked from the Brazilian residence to Beton Hala and Kalemegdan Park, and finally to lunch at BAD Sushi (Belgrade Asian Dining). We walked about 7km, burned 600 calories, and walked 9000 steps. The weather was cloudy, windy and it was 13 degrees Celsius. But with the wind it felt colder. Walking Group - September 30th

On September 30th, the ladies of IWC took part in an 8km walk around Ada Ciganlija Lake. The weather was rather gloomy and cloudy, nevertheless it didn’t kill the spirit of these lovely ladies to walk and exercise. We had two new members joining us in this walk: Elisa & Özge. Walking Group - 11,000 Steps through Dorćol

On the 10th of June the Walking group walked through Skandarlija down to Strahinjica Bana, further to Sava and Beton Hala and up the spiral staircase through Kalemegdan and back to the Brazilian Residence. Walking Group - Ada Lake in June

On the 3rd of June the IWC Walking Group took a walk around Ada Lake (once again). We had a nice peaceful walk around this artificial lake. It took us about 2 hours around the lake and we walked about 8 km in total. Most of the restaurants and coffee shops around are open now. When we visited this place during COVID most cafes were closed and Ada looked rather empty and solemn, which it isn’t under normal circumstances. Therefore we were happy that ...

Walking Group - Zvezdara

On the 26th of May the walking group organized a walk in park Zvezdara. It is located right in the heart of the city. It is a small oasis in the city of Belgrade and this forest is near the city center but it looks like you are miles away! Walking Group - The Green Oasis of Belgrade

On April 22nd, the IWC Walking Group went hiking in the green Oasis of Belgrade; Topcider Park (Topcider-Kosutnjak). It is one of the largest forested areas in Belgrade. It’s situated next to Dedinje and Senjak. Walking Group - Topčider

The walking group walked and hiked at one of the greenest and most prestigious parts of Belgrade, Topčider. This is an excellent park in the urban area for a walk. Walking Group - Ada Lake

Last Thursday the walking group was greeted with 15 ladies who walked around Ada lake together. The beautiful weather graced us with plenty of sunshine and blue skies, as though it knew we all really needed plenty of vitamin D! Walking Group - Gardos Hill and Zemun Green Market

Thursday March 11th, the walking group walked in Zemun. It was a short walk but it was interesting to see Zemun on a weekday. We enjoyed the beautiful Danube riverbank which later on lead us to walk through the old part of today's Belgrade; historical and charming Zemun. Walking Group - Ušće to Zemun and Back

On Thursday March 4th, we walked approximately 10km in total which took us nearly 3.5 hours including 1h of brunch break at a cafe. It was very fun and great exercise.

Walking Group - Hyde park

On February 11th the walking group met to explore Hyde Park (Hajd park). The park is located on Topčider Hill, and it is officially classified as an urban forest. It is one of the most beautiful places in Belgrade where people can really (re)connect with nature and relax.Afterward, the group enjoyed lunch at a nearby restaurant called Sheher.

The Walking Group - Kalemegdan, Beton hala and Belgrade Waterfront

Last week the walking group took a walk in Kalemagdan park, around the fortress and all the way to Beton hala and Belgrade Waterfront. We enjoyed the good view of Belgrade with Sava and Dunav river combined. It was nice walking around without any crowd. We walked towards Beton hala and had lunch at Belgrade Waterfront.
