MID-MONTH REVIEW
Thank-you to all who made it to our first Coffee Morning of the club year - what a great turn out! The sun shone, we were spoiled with yummy treats and many new friends were made. We were able to thank Eun Hai and Verena officially and introduce our members to the new Activity Group Co-ordinators. Thank-you once again to Luiza for being such a fantastic host and for inspiring our quote of the month!

Photography Workshop

If you have always wanted to learn how to take great photos with your smartphone and get the most out of the built-in camera, then this workshop is for you. In this workshop, professional photographer Wilhelm von Kahle will not only go into the settings of your smartphone camera, but also give you general tips and tricks for taking photos (lighting, positioning, etc.). In the practical part, you will then apply the knowledge you have gained. It is best to bring something with you that you can photograph (fruit or vegetables, a wooden plate, decorative items, etc.). There are no limits to your creativity.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month worldwide. Every year in October, people around the world show their support for all those affected by breast cancer and raise awareness of this disease that affects millions of women.
This year, to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, IWC Belgrade is holding its Breast Cancer Awareness Day for the second year in a row. In collaboration with Acibadem | Bel Medic and with the support of Minister of Health Professor Dr Danica Grujičić and our generous hostess HRH Princess Katherine, as well as L'Oréal and Maison française, we will once again join the whole world in wearing the colour pink!
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we invite members and friends to join us and support this annual campaign to educate and raise awareness in Belgrade.
This year, Serbian and Turkish specialists will highlight and discuss various aspects of breast cancer. Dr Lana Ilić-Todorić (radiologist) and Dr Zoran Tomašević (oncologist) as well as Prof Cihan Uras (surgeon) and Dr Erdem Güven (aesthetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery) from Acibadem Istanbul will be present. Dr Katarina Bajec will moderate the lectures. Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Danica Grujičić will grace our event as a guest of honour.
Wear pink and join us to honour survivors, remember those who have died from the disease and support the progress we are making together in the fight against breast cancer!

- Please note that taxis are not permitted to enter the Palace grounds. If you arrive by taxi, please note that it is an approximately 10-minute walk to the venue. It is possible to drive in with your own car.

CHARITY CORNER
ADRA
Uncomplicated and quick help - that's what we were able to implement at the end of last month. ADRA Srbija, one of our beneficiaries this year, recently approached us with an urgent request for hygiene articles for ladies.
Around 50 women receive necessary hygiene products from ADRA every month, but the products could not be provided for August due to a lack of supporters. Thus, the IWC decided to donate the needed items this month.
IWC Merchandise Now Available!
IWC are committed to tackling wider environmental issues such as plastic pollution and waste so let's make 2023/24 a year of change in Belgrade. Products now available for purchase with all proceeds going towards the IWC Charity fund. IWC hope to reduce the amount of waste produced by our events and encourage women in their lives outside of our club.
All available merchandise, as well as the IWC Book - "Belgrade Through the Eyes of Foreigners", will be available to purchase by cash and advanced online payment for distribution at the next Coffee Morning.
