MID-MONTH REVIEW
Avala Studios
Wow, what a fabulous event! IWC members were really spoiled on Wednesday by the fantastic presentation and tour of Avala Studios. From the fascinating history of the studios to the immense collection of period costumes, accompanied by such a delicious spread of food and refreshments, this was certainly a day to remember. Huge thanks must go to Tomáš Klima and Marina Ivanović for such warm hospitality.
Thanks must also go to you, our members, for your generous and selfless donations towards this months charitable cause with SWAG - International Children's Week. Together we managed to collect roughly 30 packages of diapers and 2 full boxes of baby food. The donation collected at the coffee morning will be sent to the Center for the Protection of Infants, Children and Youth in Zvečanska.

Administrative Assistant Intern
At our General Assembly in May, it was agreed that with increasing administrative tasks we should employ someone to help with the general running of the club. We are therefore excited to announce the appointment of Emilija Stevanovic as our new Administrative Assistant Intern. Currently studying Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade, Emilija already has extensive experience having been with the United Nations Association of Serbia for 6 years, working on many national and international projects.
Please help by giving Emilija a warm welcome at our next event!

After we started the Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our Breast Cancer Awareness Day in September, we are also organising a Health Talk on the topic of breast cancer together with our partner Acibadem - Bel Medic at the end of October.
At the event, Prim. dr sci.med. Magdalena Radović will give us information on breast cancer screening and answer all the participants' questions about breast cancer in a personal setting.
Let us once again wear the colour pink together and thus draw attention to this important topic. Together for our health.

CHARITY CORNER
Centar Za Prava Deteta
Earlier this month, our last year's Charity Committee visited the Child Rights Centre (Centar za prava deteta), one of the organisations we supported last club year. The specific project, which we supported with 440,880 RSD (4,260 EUR), is about promoting the well-being of children and young people, and educating them about children's rights. To this end, workshops on mental health and personal development are held. The centre also offers psychological counselling to children. During the visit, the members of the Charity Committee got a detailed insight into the work of the Child Rights Centre and were also able to experience the implementation of the supported project.

Our charity bazaar is getting closer and closer and herewith we would like to invite our IWC members already to our bazaar! The Charity Bazaar will take place on 3 December from 10.30am to 5.30pm at the Hyatt Hotel. Over 30 embassies have signed up and we are very much looking forward to this traditional fundraising event. So, mark your calendars and pass on the date to your friends and acquaintances so that we can welcome many visitors to our bazaar on 3 December. The pre-sale of tickets and raffle tickets will start soon and we will inform you here as well as on the website and social media.
It is also with great pleasure that we would like to inform you that our dear member Iolanta Mura has taken over the bazaar coordination. Also joining the bazaar committee are Ivana Devčić, Felicity Quick, Marina von Koenig, Nataša Savić, Tanja Levi, Marisol Vargas, June Weng, Jazba Hadzibulić and Liana Ghavalyan. Thank you very much for your commitment! However, we still urgently need support in the area of the cultural programme and for logistics/procurement. If you would like to support the team with the organisation, please send an email to bazaar@iwc.rs.
We are also looking for sponsors for our charity bazaar to keep the costs of the event as low as possible. So if you have an idea or would like to support the charity bazaar, please contact our Vice President Gloria Gaber at vice_president@iwc.rs.

IWC Merchandise Now Available!
IWC are committed to tackling wider environmental issues such as plastic pollution and waste so let's make 2023/24 a year of change in Belgrade. Products now available for purchase with all proceeds going towards the IWC Charity fund. IWC hope to reduce the amount of waste produced by our events and encourage women in their lives outside of our club.
All available merchandise, as well as the IWC Book - "Belgrade Through the Eyes of Foreigners", will be available to purchase by cash and advanced online payment for distribution at the next Coffee Morning.
