Vision Board Workshop

November 15th 2022 – IWC Newsletter

06.12.2022 at 09:30 to 12:30 | Studio Stepenik | Bulevar Zorana Đinđića 84

Most of us have fleeting ideas of what we want to be, do or have in our lives, but they remain just that: fleeting. After all, who has the time to intentionally get clear about how we want to show up, what we want to create or who we want to be? Well, even science now supports that you can intentionally create outcomes by using simple tools like Vision Boards. A Vision Board is a way to sell your own ideas to yourself, to anchor to your dreams and to allow the beauty of clarity to give you the direction and reach what you want to be in your life!

Our guide is Andrea Buitrago, an entrepreneur, Personal Trainer, Life Coach, business graduate, as well as Mother and Wife. In this workshop, we will go through a step-by-step guide “THE BEST VERSION OF ME”  that contains powerful self-development exercises, questions and content that will help you design a vision board, stay motivated, and achieve your goals.

In this workshop you will:

  • Get an understanding of what your current situation is in 6 main areas of your life.

  • Recognize the limiting beliefs that are stopping you from moving forward

  • Learn about the importance of feeling good energy.

  • Get all the tools to create your own vision board (you don't have to bring anything).

  • Create your own vision board and guide to take home and attract your ideal outcomes in the coming year.

  • Get a monthly planner as a bonus to help you in the right direction and move forward.

Time: December 6th at 09:30 to 12:30

Place: Studio Stepenik | Bulevar Zorana Đinđića 84

Price: 50€

Note: Limited to 10 Participants

ANNOUNCEMENT

SWAG: Christmas Gifts for Children

November 15th 2022 – IWC Newsletter

The Social Work Activity Group (SWAG) has planned a charitable project just in time for Christmas: To put a smile on children's faces. We would like to give the children of Svratište drop-in shelter a little bit of joy for Christmas. Drop-in shelter beneficiaries are children between 5 and 15 years of age, who live or work on the streets of Belgrade and who are exposed to numerous risks due to their circumstances.

You can take part in this action by preparing a gift box according to the instructions given to you at the November Coffee Morning. If you were not there, you can find attached to this newsletter the necessary information about the project.

You can either bring your gift box to the December Coffee morning (TBA in December 1st newsletter) or deliver your box to the Mexican Residence (write to: president@iwc.rs) or Verena Hartmann's house (write to: treasurer@iwc.rs) by December 15th.

  • Do you have some questions? Simply write the SWAG team at swag@iwc.rs.

Ongoing Activity: Walking Group at the Chinese Market

November 15th 2022 – IWC Newsletter

24.11.2022 at 9:30 to 12:30 | Meeting Place: Delta City Mall, H&M (ground floor)

The walking group is exploring Blok 70 and Piramida Shopping Mall in New Belgrade. The distance from Blok 70 to Piramida is about 1 km. We will venture into some reliable thrift shops run by the city’s many residents who have brought the flavor of the Orient to Belgrade.

Many Chinese have gone on to build successful businesses and live in Belgrade. The multicultural and oriental vibe they bring to the town is a welcome breath of fresh air. Similar to most major cities where the Chinese settle, they take with them their traditions and skills, and usually set up a market creating a ‘Chinatown’ where the exchange of goods and culture can conveniently take place.

Blok 70 is made up of a series of ramshackle buildings that have been given a second life by being transformed into a vibrant market. This place is where one finds a lot of international/foreign products. Therefore we decided to check out what all the noise is about.  After the adventure we might have coffee at Delta Mall, in the monument cafe.

Time: Thursday, 24th November 2022 at 9:30 to 12:30

Meet up place: Delta City Mall, H&M (ground floor) - Parking at the Mall

Ongoing Activity: Book Club

November 15th 2022 – IWC Newsletter

29.11.2022 at 11:00 | SKC Bookstore | Kralja Milana 48

The members of the IWC Book Club meet on a regular basis every month to discuss the book chosen and exchange ideas and insights. All IWC members are welcome to join single meetings related to a particular book they find interesting as well. Please contact the coordinator Sabine Keiser, at sabskeis7@gmail.com for more information on future books and meetings.

The next meeting will take place on November 29th at 11:00 at SKC Bookstore and the book to be discussed is: “A Guide to Serbian Mentality” by Momo Kapor. It is available in all major bookstores. Belgrade author and painter Momo Kapor has spent many years studying the mentality of his countrymen. The fruit of this literary research is this book: This book's readers will learn, through a self-ironic and humorous tone, what Serbs like and dislike, whom they admire and despise, what they eat and what they drink, how they spend their free time, what they dream about and what they believe; in a word, the book is about what constitutes a Serb from the inside!

In December the book club will not be meeting as it coincides with the holidays and instead shall meet on January 31st at 11:00 to discuss the book “The Island of Missing Trees” by Elif Shafak. This book might be a bit difficult to find, so begin your search pretty soon!

Time: Tuesday November 29th at 11:00

Place: SKC Bookstore on Kralja Milana 48
