MID-MONTH REVIEW
Babe Hotel
Coffee with friends in a cosy atmosphere - that was our Coffee Morning in November. More than 60 IWC members met at The Babe Boutique Hotel in Senjak, chatted and enjoyed small delicacies. At this meeting, the Board also provided information about the upcoming IWC Charity Bazaar on December 3rd at the Hyatt Hotel and encouraged all IWC members to get involved. Many thanks to all those who have signed up to the volunteer list and are already actively involved in this important event for our organisation.
We would like to thank The Babe Boutique Hotel for hosting the November Coffee Morning and giving our members a great morning.

BOARD NEWS
New Vice-President Needed!
We would like to inform you that the term of our Vice President Gloria Gaber will soon be coming to an end.
Gloria took over the position in March and has since supported the IWC in an exemplary manner and developed it further together with the other board members. As she will be leaving Belgrade in June 2024, she would ideally like to hand over the position to a successor in February. If you have an idea of who would be a suitable successor or are considering supporting IWC as Vice President yourself, please contact us.
We look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Your hostess Marija Medan is an entrepreneur, life coach and business consultant, who nurtures her inspiration by supporting women. Be part of a “bigger picture” and join us on Wednesday November 22nd for a more in depth understanding of you who can be. We hope to give you some pleasant moments and invite you to take care of yourself, even when you are taking care of others.

Etno Mreza invites IWC members to a special Holiday exhibition and sale of authentic Serbian handicrafts. There will be Christmas decorations available for purchase, lovingly created by Serbian artisans, along with a wide variety of traditional handicrafts. When you purchase items from the sale, you are not only helping to support and empower women from across the country, you are helping to preserve these traditional Serbian motifs and techniques. Children and guests welcome!

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina have kindly extended an invitation to IWC members to a special awareness fundraising event in honor of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Organised by INTUITIVA & Bleyzer Concept store, the event aims to shed light on the pressing issue of violence against women and support local initiatives working towards its elimination.
INTUITIVA is a unique clothing concept store, originally designed in New York City and sustainably made in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Bleyzer is a clothing concept store, designed and sustainably made in the Republic of Serbia.
Agenda:
- Introductory remarks delivered by a representative of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Belgrade
- Presentations from local activists addressing the challenges faced by women who have experienced domestic violence and women who have successfully managed to channel their experiences into productive outcomes
- Insights from social workers discussing the specific challenges related to this issue
- Performances by local artists presenting songs that resonate with the cause
Additional Highlights:
- Networking opportunities; drinks and delicious snacks will be served
- Attendees can explore and purchase sustainable brand clothing at the INTUITIVA & Bleyzer Concept store
- A percentage of the proceeds from purchases will be donated to a project supporting women who have been victims of violence and domestic abuse

On Tuesday November 14th, the IWC Charity Bazaar Committee were honoured to host representatives from the 29 embassies in Belgrade who will be representing their countries with booths at this years Charity Bazaar. This was a chance for logistics to be discussed and final preparations to be made in the final push before the big day. 14 of the participating embassies will also be cooking up some culinary delights for us to sample on the day and so as the 2 week countdown begins we are all so excited for a successful event!

The Social Work Activity Group has started preparing New Year's parcels for children in need. Your participation will bring a spirit of joy and put a smile on the children's faces of Sava Jovanović Sirogojno Primary School. The beneficiaries are children with varying physical and mental needs aged between 5 and 15 years of age.
You can take part in this action by preparing a gift box according to the instructions given to you at the November Coffee Morning (also shown above).
Bring your gift box to the December Coffee morning on Friday December 8th or get in touch to arrange a drop off.
IWC Merchandise Now Available
IWC are committed to tackling wider environmental issues such as plastic pollution and waste so let's make 2023/24 a year of change in Belgrade. Products now available for purchase with all proceeds going towards the IWC Charity fund. IWC hope to reduce the amount of waste produced by our events and encourage women in their lives outside of our club.
