MID-MONTH REVIEW
General Assembly
What a great turn out we had today - 90 members voted either in person or nominated someone to vote by proxy, a total of just over 60% club membership. This really helps solidify the work that IWC is doing, both for our club members and for the wider community, so thank-you for your support. It was lovely to hear from the many different aspects of club life and look ahead to what could be achieved over the coming year.
More details of the General Assembly will be sent out in due course for those who were unable to attend.

During the tour, you'll be able to hear much about Tito and how he united Yugoslavia, see many diplomatic gifts, hear about how Tito handled neutrality during the Cold War and how his funeral was a remarkable event of the time, bringing together 128 out of 154 UN members, amoung which were both the President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Fidel Castro.
This is the first event organised by IWC Intern Emilija Stevanovic who notes that she'd love to connect the ladies with another side of Serbian culture in the upcoming season. She says:
"After almost a full season in IWC and having had many talks with members, I wanted to use the opportunity to bring you a little bit closer to understanding modern-day Serbia, and what better way to start than from its 'golden days' - Yugoslavia! I hope you'll join me on this journey and enjoy it as much as I do."

Boya Workshop
04.06.24 from 10:30 to 12:30 | Boya Porcelain Studio | Carigradska 7, Dorcol
Let's create and do something good!
Boya porcelain and Vilenica studio invite IWC members and their guests to a truly inspiring and charitable morning.
During a two-hour long workshop at a beautiful atelier space in Dorcol you will create two different pieces of art. You will be guided by two different women who will lead you through a creative process introducing you to two different techniques. You will make a linen napkin using a wood-block printing technique and a ceramic serving platter using a slab buiding technique. Both pieces come together as a beautiful ensemble and make a wonderful memory from Serbia created by your own hands.
And here comes the most beautiful part, perfectly matching our annual charity theme 'to empower women in need': Your contribution to the workshop funds the same experience for another woman who would not be able to afford it herself. Once our workshop is done, the artists will host the same number of vulnerable or marginalized women for free. If out of this group a participant shows special interest and skills, she will be offered an individual two months training to support and help her build up her own financial independence.
IMPORTANT
- IWC members and their guests, spaces are limited!
- 6000 RSD including all materials, beverage and wine AND the funding of an equal workshop and possible training for women in need
