Treasurer
We have counted the votes and we are pleased to announce that the club has voted yes to the appointment of our dear member Ivana Zdravkovic as the IWC Treasurer, effective immediately. The board would like to express their appreciation for sending in your votes. We had a good turnout again, a total of 70 votes, with the following results:
- Ivana Zdravkovic as Treasurer: Yes - 58, No - 5, Abstain - 6, *Residual - 1
*A residual vote is when someone does not choose one of the three answer options for a specific candidate and just leaves that vote blank.
Charity Committee
We would like to use the last newsletter of the club year as an opportunity to thank the Charity Committee once again for the great work they have done this year. Many thanks to Christina Czettl, Tanja Levi, Nataša Savić, Marisol Vargas and Ann Pešić!
Seven great projects were selected from the many applications and the IWC has supported them this year with a total of over RSD 2,500,000. During our summer break, we will present the individual projects to you in more detail on Facebook and Instagram. So be sure to check back on our pages from time to time during your holiday, there are exciting things to read.

"Hello to all IWC members! Just a quick update on what I have been up to this month before I leave Belgrade. I have spent the month divided between getting to know all of you inspirational ladies at events and then behind the scenes organising everything from the store cupboard to the website as well as meeting some of our partners and charity organisations. I have enjoyed it all and for that I have the Board to thank, who have welcomed me so warmly into their team, and given me a taste of the heaps of work that is going on behind the scenes to make IWC Belgrade what it is.
I wish a restful summer to all members and I look forward to following all your upcoming events on social media!

Bazaar
Volunteers needed!
As we told you some time ago, our Charity Bazaar will take place on 3 December 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade. The first applications to participate from various embassies have already arrived and the first preparations are underway. To make the Bazaar, which is our most important fundraising event, a complete success again, we need your support!
To put together the Bazaar Committee, we need a Bazaar Coordinator, a Secretary and a Designer, a team for the raffle as well as for the cultural supporting programme and logistics. You can find more detailed information about the individual tasks right below. We also need many helping hands on the day of the event, so keep that day in your diary.
The Bazaar Coordinator heads the Bazaar Committee and is the interface to the Board. She is essentially responsible for the general organisation of the bazaar and has an overview of the individual sections of the committee. Together with our President, she will publicly participate in promotional events and cooperate with the media. In cooperation with the Secretary, she is responsible for communication and correspondence with the participating embassies and is the first contact person for enquiries about the Bazaar. Budgeting and financial matters will be the responsibility of the Board.
The Designer creates the marketing design for this year's bazaar and is then responsible for creating all relevant marketing files, such as posters, flyers, or online graphics. The web-based graphics programme Canva is available for this purpose.
The raffle team is responsible for procuring the prizes to be raffled and for running the raffle on the day of the event. The cultural programme team is responsible for organising the cultural programme for the bazaar and is the contact person for the participating groups on the day of the event. The logistics team is responsible for the procurement and the hall plan and coordinates the set-up and dismantling on the day of the event.

New Activity Groups
At the General Assembly this year, we asked members to fill out a short questionnaire to help us prepare events and activities that you, our members, would like to see. These ranged from self-defence classes to sporting activities, from language groups to patchwork quilting and much more!
