Topčider Park

Belgrade is not just about gray buildings, concrete residential blocks with messed up crumbling post-war buildings and graffiti. The walking group had an exciting day to enjoy the natural side of this growing city.  We got a bit confused about the last 500m in this forest to find Aleksandar Ski Staza.  We met up at Topcider park in front of Milošev Konak restaurant. From Topčider Park we headed to Aleksandar club - Ski Staza, a dining and recreational area up a hill ...

Belgrade Waterfront Galerija to Brankov Bridge

On Thursday November 4th, due to bad weather predictions the ladies decided to walk from Belgrade Waterfront Galerija along the river Sava towards Brankov Bridge. We were eager to wear our raincoats, get wet and, enjoy the outdoors. Instead, we had an amazing sunny day. Our energy was boosted, and when we reached Djokovic tennis courts, we sat for a well-deserved rest at the Blue Wave café. Leo and Archy, our lovely rescue poodles, lifted ...

Thursday October 28th

The widespread grey fog on the morning of Thursday October 28th did not deter the ever-optimistic IWC Walking Group and by 10am, the sky was blue and the sun shone at the Aleksandar Club Ski Slope meeting point. For this walk, we were a group of seven women and three delighted dogs. Chatting all the while, we followed the lower stone path initially, enjoying a wonderful walk (or scamper, in the case of the very happy dogs) through the bright woodlands with leaves of every ...
