The pilates group had their weekly pilates class. Dedicated Pilates fans know that pilates is the form of exercise that brings all kinds of body benefits. It helps to increase mobility, overall strength, core and most importantly balance. During the pilates class with LikePilates, Nadja teaches the class the use of basic items from the mat to the reformer. Every week the ladies use a different kind of machine to do pilates.
This week the class worked on the pilates chair. For example, the single-leg stretch is a Pilates chair exercise that works out the abs as well as the hips and thighs. In fact, the Pilates chair is a challenging piece of equipment! It is definitely very effective for building arm and leg strength.
