LAGraffiti: private viewing for IWC
26.09.2022 at 10:00 to 12:00 | LAG Gallery at Galerija Shopping Center | Entrance I on Bulevar Vudro Vilson
Graffiti, while once considered vandalism, is becoming more widely recognized as a type of artwork. However, it is still not always positively received or universally accepted as art by the general public. Graffiti Art takes the techniques and methodologies behind street Graffiti and applies them to other mediums. Graffiti ranges from simple written words to elaborate wall paintings and has become a mainstream art movement for more than two decades.
LAGraffiti is a “kontrapunkt” - joint effort of local, world recognized street artists, LAG gallery and public for humanitarian causes - helping raise money for Foundation “Dobar Glas” which helps young Classical music students from Serbia. On display are individual works of 9 artists, co-authors and groups: Nikola Kori, Endo, Djuradje, Stefko, Jung & Houp, Das Drogen.
Time: September 26th at 10:00
Place: LAG Gallery at Galerija Shopping Center

Korean Cosmetic with LECO & KOTRA (Korean Trade Investment Promotion Agency)
30.09.2022 at 10:30 to 12:30 | SKIP Center | Dobrinjska 11
LECO & KOTRA courtesy of SKIP Center invite IWC members to a workshop introducing us to K-Beauty!
K-Beauty is a term for skincare products that originate from South Korea. The term gained popularity worldwide in the last years and especially in the Western world as it focuses on health, hydration with an emphasis on brightening effects. Based on tradition, Koreans only used natural and non-harsh ingredients to create a clear, glowy and natural-looking skin. Korean cosmetics are available here in Serbia - off the shelves and online, and LECO is engaged in the import and distribution of Korean cosmetics in Serbia. The brands LECO chose to promote have been carefully selected by their specialists.
At the workshop LECO and their dermatologist will present their famous brands: Mediheal, Mizon, Frudia and Moremo. Their specialist will give us a presentation of Korean skincare, explaining the steps to the Korean skincare routine, the proper application and a chance to try out their products. We will also be briefed on how to purchase their products conveniently online from home or wherever we may be. KOTRA will also have 3 skin testing machines and their specialists available for us to assess our skin so we have a better understanding of what kind of skincare we actually need.
After the workshop guests will be invited to Kimbap (Korean sushi rolls) provided by the Korean Embassy and refreshments prepared by the IWC board and KOTRA. The attendees are limited to 60 and IWC members have priority, although guests are welcome as well. Please Sign-up as soon as possible with Zalina Stauch at: stauchzalina@gmail.com as the guest list will be on a first come first served basis!

Austrian Film Festival
22.09.2022 to 25.09.2022 | Cultural Center of Belgrade (KCB) | Kolarčeva 6
“Extremes“ is the motto for this year's Austrian Film Festival, which presents seven outstanding and multifaceted new films to the Serbian audience.
Ludwig Wüst will open the festival with his latest movie “3:30PM” (Diagonale camera award 2021). Franz Rogowski excels in Peter Brunner's breathtakingly beautiful and disturbing exorcist tale “Lucifer”. A reflection of prejudices and tradition is to be found in Kurdwin Ayub's “Sun” (Best First Feature Film at Berlinale 2022). Culture as a bond and stumbling stone is also at the core of “Me, We” by David Clay Diaz. “Hinterland”, the long-awaited new work of Oscar-winning director Stefan Ruzowitzky is an expressionist thriller set on the stage of a fallen empire. Ulrich Seidl's bittersweet “Rimini'' tells a story of faded splendor (and snow on the beach) and will be presented by Monika Willi, the film's editor, who worked on dozens of award-winning movies (with Haneke, Seidl and Glawogger) and was instrumental for the success of contemporary Austrian film. The thought provoking SF-thriller “Rubicon” takes the viewer to yet another extreme with a gloomy forecast about the future of our planet and ensuing moral dilemmas.
The Austrian Cultural Forum offers five entry tickets per film free of charge to IWC members, on a first come first served basis. Please contact us at: office@iwc.rs to sign up for your chosen film!
